Ginger and Caramel Cakes
This is the first of my bakes for my work colleagues for christmas. It is a gingerbread traycake topped with a caramel buttercream.
The cake is light and moist with a perfect ginger flavour. The topping is sweet and perfectly compliments the flavours of the spice of the sponge. It may not be the most elegant of bakes, with a homemade feel, but the flavours are fantastic, so I'm not at all disappointed.
