Amaretto Tiramisu Macarons
I have been experimenting in my new oven with one of the more difficult bakes, a macaron. These are a coffee flavoured ground almond shell dusted with cocoa powder and filled with an amaretto whipped cream.
The macaron shell is crisp on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle. It seems my oven did a good job in the baking. Their feet did however spread a little due to my over mixing but aside from that I'm not too displeased. I was envisaging total disaster so I can't complain at the results.
