Peanut Butter and Jelly Macarons



These are some peanut  and ground almond macaron shells filled with a peanut butter buttercream and strawberry jam.

This bake wasn't without a hitch. This is the third macaron batch as I seemed to get a little mixing-happy with the first two. However, I am very glad I repeated the baking as these turned out almost perfect, although the feet did spread a little too much still. The flavour of peanuts is strong and is delicious with the jam. This is the first time I have ever tasted this American flavour combination and, I have to say, I love it!
