Vanilla Stained Glass Christmas Tree Biscuits

These are some biscuits destined for the Christmas tree. They are vanilla biscuits with a stained glass window effect centre made from crushed boiled sweets.

The biscuit has a delicate vanilla flavour which is just enough to complement the flavour from teh sweets in the centre. They are baked to just crisp, yet light and crumbly. I do worry a little they may go soft by the end of the festive period, but it is worth the risk as they are going to look great on our Christmas tree, with the stained glass effect catching the light and making them sparkle.
