Stuffed Apple Pies

This is an apple stuffed with almond marzipan, raisins and brown sugar, and wrapped in a cream cheese shortcrust pastry.

The marzipan and raisin filling of the apple adds a lovely sweet almondy flavour that cuts through any potential sharpness. The apple didn't cook through quite enough as I don't think I left the pie in the oven long enough; another 5 minutes or so may have done the trick. Other than that, I think it looks very appetising and makes for a great wintry dessert.
