Salted Caramel and Macadamia Thumbprints
These biscuits are similar to the simple thumbprints, but are coated round the outside with chopped macadamia nuts and filled with a salted caramel sauce.
The biscuit is baked just right, having a lovely crunch and a short crumbly texture. The macadamia nuts are buttery and taste great with the sweet caramel sauce. The filling makes a delicious and naughty alternative to the usual jam or curd.
