Sage and Fennel Seed Fat Rascals



This is a simple savoury bake of a fat rascal flavoured with dried sage, black pepper and crushed fennel seeds.


The fat rascal has a scone like texture, although it slightly more buttery. It has a great flavour, with the fennel seed and sage packing a herby punch. They are fantastic as an accompaniment to a stew, or just spread with butter for afternoon tea.
