Jaffa Orange Cake

A 21st birthday requires a special cake. One of my favourite flavour combinations is chocolate and orange so I definitely had to make a jaffa orange cake. This is an orange genoise sponge soaked in orange juice, filled with orange jelly, coated with chocolate ganache and topped with chocolate and orange flavoured macarons filled with more chocolate ganache.

There isn't really much to say other than this is delicious, and a hands down success. Ignoring the mess I made of the kitchen, it was an excellent bake!
