Caramel Marble Brownies
I have been baking some treats for my work colleagues to celebrate my birthday. These are some chocolate brownies marbled with caramel sauce.
The plan for this was that there would be a gooey crusty brownie interspersed with a caramel sauce. However, as I had forgotten from last time I attempted a similar feat, the caramel would start to boil in the oven therefore it is more of a set toffee topping. Nonetheless, it adds a delicious sweetness and very welcomed extra flavour. The brownies would perhaps be considered under baked by many, but they are truffle-like in consistency and very mooreish. I think that, although these aren't quite as planned, they are still fantastic!
