Orange Blossom Honey Loukoumades
Today I have been playing with my deep fat fryer again and transported my kitchen to Greece. I have made some fried, yeast-risen, sweet dough known as loukoumades, drizzled in a syrup comprised of orange blossom honey and added orange blossom extract.
The dough itself is aerated and light with a comforting fried taste in the crisp exterior. The syrup is sweet and sticky with a strong orange blossom flavour. They are delicious warm or cold and a perfect naughty treat!
