Plum and Cranberry Pasties.
I am a bit of a cornish pasty fan so I have made a sweet version. These are a slightly sweetened traditional cornish pasty dough made mainly with lard and filled with a mix of plum and cranberries.
The pastry itself is just right, being slightly denser than a standard shortcrust due to the lower fat to flour ration. The filling is sweet and fruity. I think my crimping leaves a little to be desired, however asied from this little hurdle, they are great. I better get practising!
