Balsamic Beef and Vegetable Stew with Parmesan Suet Dumplings




This is a winter meal of a beef and vegetable stew made with smoked bacon and braising steak in a rich balsamic, bay and thyme gravy with carrot, parsnip and onion. It is topped with parmesan and parsley flavoured steamed suet dumplings.

The stew itself is rich in beef flavour with the smokiness of the bacon perfectly complimenting the taste. The addition of the balsamic intensifies the taste. It is a delicious warming dinner perfect for a cold winter day, topped off with some soft cheesy dumplings. Fantastic!
