Orange and Caraway Seed Brioche
A brioche loaf seemed the perfect bake for a day at uni. The dough proved in the fridge from the morning and was ready to shape, rise and bake when I got home. It is a traditional brioche flavoured with orange zest and caraway seeds.
The bread has a perfect crumb and buttery taste with the orange and caraway being a good combination. The flavours could have been enhanced a little more, perhaps with a sprinkle more sugar, but other than that I have no complaints. I actually also quite like the natural symmetrical crack across the tops. It looks rustic yet still elegant and delicious!
