Apple and Pomegranate Galette
In amongst all this baking I do, I had never made rough puff pastry. Until today. I made a puff pastry galette topped with apple slices baked in sugar and butter and flavoured with lemon zest. I glazed it with apricot jam and sprinkled it with fresh pomegranate seeds.
The pastry puffed incredibly. I am over the moon with this result. The apple was arranged in a floral pattern and looks elegant. I love the look of the pomegranate seeds on top. They lift it from sophisticated to beautiful. I am chuffed with this bake.
