Cinnamon and Vanilla Crown
Today I have been making use of the warm weather and my now nicely heated flat to bake some sweet dough. This is a twisted crown loaf of vanilla dough filled with a cinnamon and brown sugar butter and vanilla seeds.
The dough rose reluctantly but gave a nice bake in the oven. The cinnamon flavour is strong and well spiced. It is a lovely warming loaf with a nice subtle hint of vanilla. The shape was not as perfect as I would have liked as I perhaps need more dough to make the spirals less distinct. Using this quantity a slightly smaller tin would have given the height I desired (although I don't yet own one of those!). I also need to learn what to do with the ends of my couronne! Other than that my perfectionism, it is great!
