Cherry and Poppyseed Cream Doughnuts
I have been playing with my deep fat fryer again and made some finger doughnuts. They are some poppyseed dough buns filled with whipped cream and a line of cherry jam.
The dough is wonderful although perhaps 10 minutes over proved. Next time I would pipe some jam in the base before topping with cream and more jam to add more of the cherry flavour. Other than that, as cream doughnuts go, they are fantastic.
