Beef and Ale Pie

This is a delicious version of a cottage pie. It is an ale enhanced beef stew made of braising steak topped with mashed potato and cheddar cheese.

The beef was slow cooked to perfection so it fell apart. The flavour was beefy and rich and the cheese on top lifted the whole thing to perfection. A delicious dinner for a Sunday evening.
