Apple and Rhubarb Crumble

This is a simple crumble dessert, perfect after a summer dinner. It is an apple and rhubarb base topped with a cinnamon crumble.

The crumble baked to be browned and crunchy. The fruit inside was well stewed and softened with the perfect balance of sweetness. It was lovely served with a big dollop of custard.
