St Clement's Drizzle Cakes
These are some bite sized cakes baked for afternoon tea at Ascot. They are cakes flavoured with orange and lemon zest, with a granulated sugar orange and lemon drizzle.
The flavours are zesty and slightly tangy, although with the right amount of sweetness. I managed to apply the drizzle just at the right time so that it is a crust on top of the cakes. The sponge itself light and delicate. They are perfect miniature treats.
