Honey and Cream Cheese Waffles



I have made good use of one of my christmas presents, my cast iron griddle pan. These are waffles drizzled with honey and topped with cream cheese and almond brittle.

At last, I have managed to get my griddle pan to be non-stick. It cooked the waffle batter perfectly so it was crisp and browned with a soft centre. The fairly bland flavour is enhanced and sweetened by the honey, and contrasts the savoury cream cheese. The brittle provides a delicious crunch to finish off the dessert.
