Chocolate and Saffron Biscuits
I have been making some biscuits based around a christmas traditional bake, the St Lucia bun. These are some luxurious biscuits made with saffron infused milk and drizzled with white and dark chocolate.
The biscuit itself is very crisp and crunchy. The balance of sweetness and butteriness is lovely. The saffron flavour is fairly strong but not overwhelming and the chocolate is just a subtle addition that makes them look and taste fantastic. I am very happy with these. A biscuit that is perfect as a christmas treat.
