Apple Butter and Caraway Seed Biscuits





I was given some home grown apples and so I thought I would make them into some biscuits. These are flavoured with caraway seed and filled with an apple butter.

They weren't quite what I intended to make as I added a little too much egg to the biscuit dough. They ended up being un-rollable and so I couldn't cut them into shapes. I therefore rolled them into balls and pressed them out. They turned out better than I expected. I think next time I make biscuits like this I might use self-raising flour to make them a little lighter, but the flavour and texture is great and I am very happy all turned out well in the end!
