Rose and Cinnamon Iced Yum Yums

I have been making yum yums, which are a slightly laminated yeasted cinnamon dough that is twisted then fried, before being drizzled in a rosewater glaze.

The dough itself is light and soft, with a slight flakiness from the lamination. The flavour of the cinnamon is warm and comforting although could easily take being slightly stronger, and works well with the floral note from the rosewater glaze. I am happy with the rise, the bake, and the icing consistency however, I think a little less yeast could have contributed to a better shape as they would have puffed in a slightly more controllable way. Other than this, they are awfully unhealthy but absolutely fantastic.
