Mozzarella and BBQ Pretzel Bites
These are some pretzel bites filled with mozzarella cheese, ready to dip in BBQ sauce and perfect for sharing on bonfire night or at Halloween.
The pretzels didn't brown well in the oven so I ended up needing to increase the baking temperature and brush them with egg, and some of the cheese leaked out once melted. Next time I would roll the cheese into a long sausage of dough then cut pieces to try and limit the holes in the bites. Ignoring these minor issues they are great. The bread dough is cooked well, with a lovely texture. The cheese flavour is quite subtle and possible not strong enough for many, but with the addition of BBQ sauce they taste great.
