Herby Puffs



These are some puff pastry canapes that are filled with a herb mixture of tarragon, chives, parsley and black pepper.

The puff pastry flaked well and became light and crisp. They uncurled which would normally be undesired but was in fact the look I was after, so I am very happy. The herbs are well balanced, being just enough to add a delicate flavour to an otherwise bland item. The combination is great, with the tarragon being the predominant taste, which adds a lovely freshness. They would be great as a cold snack or hot served as a starter alongside a dip or garlic butter.
