Pineapple and Cherry Steamed Suet Puddings

These are my attempt at a steamed suet pudding. They are vanilla flavoured with pineapple chunks and glacé cherries.

The flavour is vanillary and the pineapple and cherries go well together, providing a sweetness. The texture is soft but due to the suet they are a little dense. They took a long time to steam and are perhaps a little claggy without custard, however with they are lovely. They did stick in the tins hence the slightly odd look! Next time I would steam it as a roll like a spotted dick.
