Walnut and Brown Sugar Povitica

I have been baking my take on a povitica. This is a sweet dough filled with a walnut and brown sugar mix. It is rolled up and sprinkled with the remaining nuts and sugar.

The dough itself was reluctant to rise but it was nevertheless soft and rich. The filling is just sweet enough with a wonderfully strong flavour of walnuts. It is a great version of a povitica!
