Chinese Duck Steamed Dumplings





To celebrate the Chinese New Year I have made some steamed dumplings. They are a plain dough with black onion seeds, and filled with spring onion and soy, honey and five spice marinaded shredded duck,

The dough is soft and the flavour of the onion seeds adds a delicious taste. The duck is well spiced and married perfectly with the spring onion and reasonably plain dough. I did make the dough a little thin and so they were hard to shape, but once I had overcome that they steamed well. They are a delicious treat for a Chinese meal.
