Peach and Pecan Loaf Cake

My first cake baked in my new flat with my new oven. I made a pecan loaf cake spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. It is topped with chopped peaches and pecans and drizzled with a glacé icing.

The cake baked differently to expected due to the high moisture content of the peaches. The sponge itself was fairly dense but very moist with a lovely autumny flavour. The peaches on top added a welcome sweetness. It doesn't perhaps look spectacular but the flavours were fantastic!
