Grapefruit and Cream Cheese Chiffon Cakes
I have been making some chiffon cakes flavoured with grapefruit zest and topped with a cream cheese frosting and basil leaf.
The cake is a success on the basis that it is the first chiffon cake I have made that hasn't sunk or been a disaster. The taste and texture is light and the cream cheese frosting compliments it perfectly. They were going to be decorated with grapefruit slices but changes of plans resulted in a dainty basil leaf.
