Blueberry and Blackberry Macarons

These are some traditional almond french macarons coloured purple and filled with blueberry and blackberry jam.

They rose beautifully, baked to be crisp on top and soft and chewy in the middle, and have excellent feet. The flavour of the jam is sweet and fruity. They are some of the best macarons I have made.
