Vanilla and Chocolate Valentine's Cake

This is a vanilla bundt cake with a hidden chocolate heart. It is decorated with italian meringue and topped with chocolate shavings and freeze dried strawberry pieces.

The cake is flavoursome and the meringue frosting perfectly compliments it with its soft pillowy texture. The hearts worked as well as they could have bearing in mind I had to cut them with a knife as my cutter was too big for my bundt tin! The meringue stiffened well and, after not being quite sure how to decorate it, I am very happy with its look.
