Cheese Puff Pastry Canapes
I made double batch of puff pastry, 600g flour and 2 blocks of butter, to make some puff pastry canapes for a birthday party. They are some cheese straws of cheddar and parmesan with a hint of cayenne pepper, some pesto and parmesan pinwheels, and caramelised onion and cheddar lattices.
The pastry was light and crisp and great fun to work with in such a large quantity. The flavours were cheesy and delicious, and the pesto pinwheels went down best of all!
