Strawberry, Gooseberry and Ginger Trifle

This is a homemade trifle. It is layers of light and honey ginger cake, strawberry and gooseberry jelly, vanilla custard, and topped with whipped cream. It is decorated with strawberry pieces, gooseberry pieces and ginger biscuit crumbs.

The cake is well spiced and light. It compliments the sweetness of the fruit jelly and the custard perfectly. The textures are lovely with the biscuit crunch on the top. I love trifle and this is a delicious one!
