Orange Blossom Honey and Apricot and Cinnamon Cupcakes





These are my mother's day cupcakes. They are some vanilla cakes topped  with orange blossom honey buttercream, and the others are cinnamon buttercream with apricot jam and chopped walnuts.

The cake is light and the topping creamy and sweet. The two flavours are lovely. The look in the end was great, despite my difficulties in baking them. It wasn't quite a perfect day, but in the end they worked. I have learnt two lessons today. Firstly, don't play around with a recipe too much. And secondly, make plenty of buttercream otherwise you run out when piping!
