Maple Syrup and Blueberry Tarts
These are some individual tarts of cinnamon shortcrust pastry, maple syrup creme patisserie and topped with a blueberry jelly.
The pastry is very short and crisp, although I didn't seem to do a very good job of lining my tart tins. They need a little practice I think! The creme patisserie set well and has a great flavour. It works very well with the blueberry topping. The jelly has not set perfectly as I didn't use quite enough gelatine but it looks and tastes great nonetheless.
