Maple and Rhubarb Flapjacks
These flapjacks are made with maple syrup instead of golden syrup, and have a layer of rhubarb jam in the centre.
The flapjack is crisp on the edges but soft and squidy in the centre. The maple syrup adds a different level sweetness to a usual flapjack, and makes it even more moreish and delicious. The layer of rhubarb jam works perfectly, and adds an extra chewiness. These are pretty much perfection.
