Honey Pot Cake.

I have spent the entire day baking my first tiered cake. This is a honey pot cake consisting of a vanilla and apricot jam genoise sponge, chocolate and orange striped cake and a honey and almond cake decorated with orange buttercream, marzipan bees and pistachio nuts.

I am over the moon with how this turned out. It is far better than anticipated. I enjoyed the challenge each of the different cakes posed and found making marzipan great fun. I am very pleased with what I managed to achieve today. It is delicious!
