Honey and Poppyseed Madeleines

These cakes are fairly simple French madeleines baked for an afternoon tea. They are flavoured with honey and poppyseeds.

I am very happy with how these turned out as for once I managed to put the right amount of batter into the tin so they bakes to a perfect shape and size. The honey flavour is strong, sweet and rich and the poppyseeds add a wonderful crunch. They will make a great addition to the afternoon tea.
