Orange and Cardamom Wreath Bread
I'm getting ready for Easter, so have been baking an Easter wreath bread. This is an orange and cardamom flavoured dough, with four strands filled with orange curd and plaited together to a ring shape. It is glazed with apricot jam and sprinkled with sugar nibs.
The dough is rich and buttery with a lovely tender crumb. The orange flavour is strong thanks to the addition of the orange curd, giving a light citrus tang. I think this is a simple yet celebratory loaf.
