Lemon Gingerbread Torte

This is a lemon torte cake sandwiched with layers of lemon buttercream and lemon curd, a topping of toasted cake crumbs, and decorated with spiced and iced gingerbread houses.

Today I had great fun making both biscuits and cake and decorating in a christmassy manner once again. I am happy with how this turned out, and even more, it tasted heavenly.
