Cherry and Vanilla Welsh Cakes

These are some welsh cakes flavoured with cherries and vanilla rather than the traditional raisins and spice.

They browned beautifully and the flavour was fantastic. As my first, and long awaited attempt at welsh cakes goes, they were spot on.
