Week 4, Traybakes Technical Bake
The technical bake this week was millionaire’s shortbread. This involved making a shortbread base with a caramel centre and milk and dark chocolate top.
The shortbread was crisp and buttery and the caramel was soft and sticky, although perhaps another minute or two simmering would have made it more of a toffee and less creamy. The mix of chocolate types complimented the flavours well. I found this bake challenging to make and even more challenging to slice up, but very enjoyable!
