Almond Spice Cake

I made a delicious Almond Spice Cake which is a cinnamon and clove spiced cake with toasted almonds and a marzipan layer in the centre. It is decorated lavishly with a toffee icing drizzle and topped with more flaked almonds.

The cake itself has an excellent flavour and the marzipan in the centre provides a surprise that elevates the cake to pure perfection. It not only looks appetising but it tastes sublime also.
