Week 5, Pastry Technical Bake



My technical bake is a pecan treacle tart. This tested my ability to make and blind bake shortcrust pastry and was filled with a sweet sticky treacle and topped with pecan nuts.

I thoroughly enjoyed being able to make a traditional favourite with a delicious twist. I got to make use of my new baking beans and they were fantastic! They were definitely good value for money. This was a great bake this week.
