Week 2, Sweet Dough Showstopper Enriched Dough
My showstopper bake to finish week 2 was a festive stollen wreath filled with rum soaked fruit, almonds and marzipan. It is brushed with a lemon glaze and sprinkled with toasted flaked almonds to give it an appealing look.
This week’s bake created some difficulties in finding somewhere to prove the dough in my rather cool house but after some perseverance I found the perfect conditions and the bake was a success. It has turned out to not only look appealing but taste great too! I think I have officially mastered sweet dough.
