Maple and Pecan Plaits

Since Mother’s Day I have owed my mum some of her favourite pastries, Maple and Pecan Plaits. They are a light puff pastry filled with a pecan nut and maple syrup mix, topped with broken pecans.

The pastry was a delight to make, aside from the challenges of the heat. The filling was delicious and made for an excellent bake. They were worth waiting for.
