Chocolate and Raspberry Birthday Cake

It was my mum’s birthday last week so I ventured tentatively into the world of cake decorating.

I made a chocolate sponge cake filled with raspberry jam and covered with chocolate buttercream and icing.

She absolutely loved the cake and I very much enjoyed making it. My decorating skills still fall into the amateur category, but I am learning slowly!
