Centurion Cake

This is a vanilla sponge cake filled with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream, coated in sugarpaste icing and topped with a centurion helmet icing picture.

This cake was baked to celebrate 2 years of my cub pack (Centurion Pack, 103rd Oxford Road). It is therefore a light sponge cake decorated with a picture painted using food colouring onto sugar paste icing. The 'watercolour food colouring' technique worked great. I will most definitely be using it again!
